Environmental Fate

Our RIFCON experts analyse the environmental fate of plant protection products and active substances in all environmental compartments (soil, water, sediment, and air). Our approaches follow current EU guidelines as well as country-specific criteria and include latest scientific knowldege.

It’s more than calculating PECs. Our team modified and created evaluation tools and is familiar with relevant software such as PERSAM, PELMO, MACRO, PEARL, PRZM, FOCUS, SWASH, TOXSWA, EVA, Input Decision, GeoPEARL, VFSMod, or GEM. Kinetic analyses are conducted using ModelMaker©, KinGUI, or CAKE.

Moreover, we customise exposure- and evaluation models as well as software for higher-tier modelling and offer custom-made spatial higher-tier analyses.

Of course, our team works closely with our colleagues from Ecotoxicology, our experts from the effect modelling and statistics team (e.g. with regard to TK-TD modelling) and the environmental fate specialists from our field studies department.

Here you can learn more about the environmental fate study types.
